We’re Josh (the Yankee) and James (the Yonder)—two long-time friends and Christian brothers who met through shared faith and fellowship. Though we come from different corners of the country—Josh from the hills of Pennsylvania and James from the backroads of Alabama and Mississippi—our bond was forged over late-night conversations, deep dives into Scripture, and cups of strong, thoughtfully roasted coffee.

For years, we’ve carved out time to sit down together with a Bible open between us, a cigar in hand, and a fresh brew in our mugs. Those moments—simple, honest, and rooted in purpose—inspired the spirit behind Yankee & Yonder Coffee Co.

James is the expert roaster with years of experience running coffee shops in the Deep South. Josh brings the hustle from the Northeast, helping bring these beans to new folks who value quality, story, and connection. What started as an idea between friends has become a small-batch, heart-driven coffee company aimed at doing things the right way: slow roasted, deeply flavorful, and with a purpose behind every bag.
